Tallytics is a privacy-first web analytics service operated from Vilnius, Lithuania. We provide managed, dedicated analytics instances hosted on EU infrastructure.
For questions about this policy, contact us at hello@tallytics.com.
Tallytics offers two tracking modes, chosen per website by the site owner. Privacy mode is the default; Full mode is opt-in and must be deliberately enabled.
In Privacy mode we collect only anonymous, aggregated data and set no cookies. We use each visitor's IP address transiently — to look up an approximate country and to compute a daily-rotating, salted hash that counts unique visitors — and we never store the raw IP address, set no persistent identifier, and build no cross-day or cross-site profile.
| We collect (Privacy mode) | We do NOT collect (Privacy mode) |
|---|---|
| Page URL visited | Raw IP addresses (used transiently, never stored) |
| Referrer source | Cookies or tracking tokens |
| Browser type (general) | Device fingerprints |
| Operating system (general) | Names, emails, or accounts |
| Device type (desktop/mobile) | Cross-site tracking data |
| Approximate country (GeoIP lookup) | Persistent cross-day visitor profiles |
In Full mode — which a site owner must deliberately enable for a given website — Tallytics additionally stores a persistent first-party visitor identifier (cookie + localStorage) and a browser fingerprint, together with extended device and engagement signals, to recognise returning visitors across sessions. This constitutes personal data under the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. When Full mode is enabled the site owner is the data controller and is responsible for obtaining valid visitor consent before the tracking script runs.
When you sign up for a Tallytics account, we collect:
We do not sell, share, or use your information for advertising. We will never send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
All analytics data is processed and stored on infrastructure in the EU. Data never leaves the European Union.
Paid plan customers receive dedicated, isolated instances. Free plan customers use a shared environment, but data remains logically separated and is never accessible to other users.
Under GDPR and applicable EU law, you have the right to:

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services on the Tallytics website or dashboard. We practice what we preach — this website is tracked by its own Tallytics instance.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
